Di Resta belatedly excluded from the race

Following the scrutineering of his car, Paul di Resta (Manor Motorsport, Dallara-Mercedes), who finished runner-up in round 18, was belatedly excluded from the race. While a minimum of 1.5 litres pf petrol has to be in the tank of a car at the end of a race to meet the regulations, there were only 0.98 litres in the tank of di Resta’s car. Team Manor Motorsport didn’t appeal against the decision and accepted the penalty.

Therefore, the following drivers moved up one position regarding the 18th round’s result: Adrian Sutil (ASM F3, Dallara-Mercedes) is the new runner-up, with Lucas di Grassi (Manor Motorsport) being scored as third. In the altered championship rankings, di Resta has 33 points on is tally and dropped down to tenth position. Sutil still hold second place, followed by di Grassi.
